THE WIND (1928) Film by Victor Sjöström, music by Ania Massetti and Pierre Mancinelli

Live performance took place in Reims, France on September 30th, 2021 as part of Les Concerts de Poche – a series of concerts in France that happens every year and aims to:

“BUILD NEW AND LASTING RELATIONSHIPS AMONG THOSE LIVING IN RURAL AREAS, MUSICIANS AND LOCAL INSTITUTIONS, BY RUNNING AMBITIOUS PROJECTS INVOLVING CLASSICAL, JAZZ AND OPERA MUSIC”

Ania and Pierre improvised music for the entire film. It was a prepared improvisation on which they worked with three violin players from the Haute école de musique in Geneva.
